   ADDED 05-30-09

I HAVE BEEN ASKED SEVERAL TIMES WHAT GROUP IS PUTTING THIS EVENT ON.  THE ANSWER IS, NO SPECIFIC GROUP.  WE ARE SEVERAL RIDERS AND FRIENDS THAT FEEL  DRAWN TO DO THIS EVENT.  SOME OF THE LEADERS ARE VIETNAM VETERANS AND SOME OF US ARE NOT.  THERE IS NO COMMITTEE AND FOR SOME REASON ALL ARE GOOD WITH THAT AND TRUST ME TO MAKE EXECUTIVE? DECISIONS ON THE RIDE AFTER SPEAKING (IF POSSIBLE) WITH THE SEVERAL OTHER LEADERS.

THIS IS NOT A 501C3 EVENT AND SO ALL ARE PUTTING THIS RIDE AND THE PAST RIDES TOGETHER FROM THEIR HEART.  THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ARE NOT CHARGING FOR THE ESCORTS AND MONEY IS NOT REQUIRED OR ASKED FOR TO RIDE.  ALL DONATIONS (TAKEN AT THE SITE) WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO VARIOUS VETERANS FACILITIES WITH A VERY SMALL PORTION OF SEED MONEY GOING TO THE NEXT YEARS EVENT.  LEADERS DONATE THEIR TIME-EFFORTS AND FUNDS WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A TAX WRITE OFF.

I BELIEVE THAT THIS KEEPS US IN PRAYER AND ENSURES THAT THIS WILL NOT BECOME A COMERCIAL EVENT.  ALL THAT SERVED DURING THAT TIME DESERVE NOTHING LESS THAN A GENUINE WELCOME HOME AND HEARTFELT THANK YOU.  I AND THE LEADERS HOPE THIS WILL ACCOMPLISH A SMALL PORTION OF THIS.

THANK YOU VERY SINCERELY, Doran F. Jaffas

To All Free Americans

I walked through the mud for you and had 18 years of nightmares for it.

Please enjoy your freedom for which I have so dearly paid.

If you ever have the occasion to walk through the mud, you will find someone there.

I hope you like him because you will be spending the rest of your life with him.
